Scandi Pied-A-Terre

This project was incredibly special to us as it was centered around the adaptive re-use of a historic building - a heritage high-school undergoing renovations to create a multi-dwelling residence. We worked closely with the clients and the builder from early on in the project to design the layout and interiors for their custom unit. Wanting to honour our clients’ love for Scandinavian arts and design, we favoured a minimal and modern design aesthetic for the interior with colourful pops such as a bespoke copper range hood and sculptural lighting. To offset these details we infused minimalist profiles through the millwork and furniture and opted for a neutral colour palette.

Pictured above are custom copper and powder coated matte black ceiling pendants and an original stained glass transom window we had designed for the unit by a local stained glass artist.
